Meet Your Guest Wine Rep: Beatrice Fernandez
From the historic hospitality scene of her undergrad years at College of Charleston to the premier winegrowing region of Napa Valley, Beatrice Straus has spent her career mastering the art of the vine. After earning her degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, San Antonio native Beatrice moved to the heart of Napa to refine her expertise at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone.
Today, Beatrice brings that elite training to Serendipity Wines, where she serves as a sales representative/consultant for San Antonio’s top restaurants and retailers. While her pedigree is rooted in prestige, her specialty is making wine effortlessly approachable. Whether she’s consulting on a high-end wine list or navigating a grocery aisle, Beatrice believes great wine should be enjoyed, not overthought. Her favorite pairing is grower Champagne with fried chicken.
