Meet Your Guest Wine Rep: Mark Austex
Mark Murphy is a Central Texas wine broker and the founder and owner of Third Coast Wine Merchants.
Working with several wine distributors throughout the American Southwest, Mark brings a thoughtfully curated portfolio of wines to the market, featuring producers from France, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Austria, California, Oregon, and Washington State.
The common thread? Every wine comes from a small, family-owned estate. In fact, many of Mark’s distribution agreements began with a handshake around the family dinner table.
Third Coast Wine Merchants’ wines are warehoused stateside, helping provide consistent availability while keeping these small-production wines accessible to the market.
Before finding his way into the wine world, Mark built his career in the music business. Music is still very much part of his life, and you can regularly find him performing around Austin.
